Hello,

it is right after lunch on day one of my most recent dietbet. The first of the year. I am really excited to lose this 6 lbs by the 23rd of june, which will prime me for losing the next 4 lbs by july which is where i want to be. 

I am the kind of person who needs extra motivation, like dietbet. I won't be motivated to kick my own ass, I need the option of losing money to motivate me to put down the spoon and go out and walk. My intentions this time are a little different then last time I did dietbet. 

I'd like to continue losing weight and not gain it back once the bet is over. I.e. i wont be taking epson salt baths and hoping into saunas to sweat out extra pounds before a weigh in because I ate pickels that day...  I really want to do something sustainable. 

Anywho. I am really excited, I'm using myfitnesspal.com to track my calories, and I have a jawbone up to track my steps. I'm totally dialed in as far as fitness tech gear is concerned. 

I ran a 5K this morning, and have work until midnight tonight. A true challenge on day one as I tend to binge when I work late- I'm going to try and eat only until 8 pm and then drink water or green juice to get me through the rest of the evening.
