Hey, I'm Marisol. I just wanted to share a little bit about me and my journey with eating plant based. I started up about 10 months ago on the urging of my vegan daughter. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it as I love my meats and cheeses.
The first couple of weeks were pretty easy as it goes. Over time, I found myself substituting for plant based foods that thought plant based werent exactly the healthiest choices. (I think I could live off Lay's potato chips for example).
Despite that, I still managed to lose weight slowly. *Miracle number 1*
This DietBet is about accelerating that weight loss. You see.... I have a wedding in 11 months and I have a goal of looking hella fine.
If you eat only plants, you are going to notice a few changes.
- That fiber will help you in the bathroom.
- You will notice clearer skin.
- You'll be the friend that never gets sick. *Miracle number 2*
But, you will also notice something else. People get kinda defensive about your choice not to eat animals. Just let them know it's a diet, and they'll be fine.
I've decided to be labeled a plant based eater because it's easier, and I'm not gonna apologize. I love my vegan daughter, and my vegan friends, but the word brings an avalanche of critiscim and I just have too much on my plate to deal with all that shit ya know? I got some weight to lose and THAT is my focus.
I wish y'all well in your journey and I'll be back in a couple days with more tips.
