I just wanted to say a little something about counting on yourself (in more ways than one).

You don't have to force yourself to live off of 1200kcal a day. It's not a magic number. Eat back your exercise calories. If you lose weight too fast, you may also gain it back faster than if you had given yourself time. It's not a race, it's your life. You don't have to rush it. Recalculate your intake needs as you gain muscle and lose fat. Eat what you want, but in moderation. Or only healthy things, if you find moderation to be problematic (as it can be for people with a history of abusing something, food or otherwise.) Carbs are not the enemy. Don't cut out entire food groups. One slice of pizza with some salad really ain't that bad of a meal. Snack on the good stuff.

No one can do this for you. The decition to lose weight, or build muscle, to gain, to get slim, fit, ripped, healthy... it all has to come from you. Someone else can push you along the way, but in the end the journey is yours. You are your own main caracter, in your very own story. Tell it in a way that would make the people experiencing you feel pride and joy. Laugh. Talk. Listen. Don't restrict or hide yourself. If something is bothering you, you are allowed to be frustrated. You are allowed to be mad, you are allowed to rant. Talk to the people you care about. It may not always feel like it, but they always want to hear from you and your day. It needn't be exciting or special, but they care about you and so they care about your well-being. It's not healthy to bottle things up. Count on yourself, but always know that you have people supporting you.

You are so, so much more than a number. You are the favourite movie, the most beloved book. Your story is yours to tell, so make it worth it. People don't care about the main caracter's weight or measurements. They care about the personalities and the plots. You are no different.

Good luck to all of you, and feel free to add any comment or critique on this inspirational open letter to Everyone that cares to read it.
