This smoothie will have you licking your fingers off after you run them down into the empty glass to get every last drop! It's cold, creamy, mildly sweet, thick, and completely addicting. It's like drinking your dessert!

Just a few ingredients combine to create an indulgent healthy smoothie your body will be thanking you for because it's super good for you from head to toe. Avocado, spinach or kale or a combination, vanilla yogurt, and a few more ingredients will leave you wanting for more. But you'll be completely full and satisfied and you just won't have room for another drop.

The avocado gives you a healthy fat, the yogurt gives you protein, the veggies are a great bonus, and the coconut water ice cube gives you a bit of water and the added benefits of antioxidants, amino acids, enzymes, B-complex vitamins, vitamin C and minerals like iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, manganese and zinc.

Karen's Creamy Green Smoothie

Serving Size: 1 smoothie

 

INGREDIENTS

1 small ripe Haas avocado*, meat only

1 C fresh baby spinach*, kale* or combination

3/4 C vanilla yogurt*

1/2 C milk of choice plain* or vanilla flavor* (soy, almond, oat, milk, kefir, etc)

1/2 TSP ground turmeric*

dash ground black pepper (not fresh ground)

1 TSP real vanilla extract

1/2 TSP to 1 TSP agave* to taste (honey or maple syrup can be used but will alter the taste accordingly)

1 1-oz coconut water* ice cube

 

MAKE IT

Add all ingredients to a Bullet or high-speed blender. Puree until smooth and creamy. Poor into a fancy glass and indulge in the creamy, sweet, satisfying, healthy goodness.
