I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself since I'm new here. My name is Laura, and I'm a 35 year old mom of 3. For years I was a couch potato. I was thin in high school but slowly put on well over 100+ lbs from the time I was 19 to 28 for a variety of reasons - I quit smoking, had children, grief and loss, depression, divorce - you name it, I experienced it. It wasn't until after the birth of my last daughter that the true impact of what my weight was doing to me hit me. I couldn't enjoy my kids! I couldn't even sit cross legged on the floor comfortably. I was always afraid I wouldn't fit on the rides at the fair with them. I couldn't chase them around the park. It was 6 weeks after I had my daughter, and the swelling had gone down. I'm 5'3...and I weighed 285lbs. I wore between a size 23-25 (Cdn sizing). It was time to make a change. So I did. I've dropped over 125lbs and kept it off for 4 years. I'm finally ready to finish what I started. I one day hope to run a marathon, and compete in a bikini contest. I'm a work in progress ;)

I look forward to sharing all the things I've tried over the last 7 years. I have lots of tips and tricks!! I'll save those for another post xo

Cheers,
Laura
