I accepted as true and was resolved to the fact; I was always going to be “bigger”. Then one day in 2015 something hit me, my stomach.  I bent down to tie my shoes, something I had been able to do since childhood. Now I could no longer physically accomplish this simple task. I cried and then immediately called my doctor's office and discussed options. Bariatric Surgery was something many of my overweight co-workers had successfully done and many lost all the weight in six months to a year. Instead, I opted for a less extreme and started a liquid diet. I met with  medical doctors and dietitians at a local but large university hospital. They put me on an Optifast nutrition. I lost 40lbs in a matter of months. I gradually added solid food back into my diet and then completed the program. The idea of the program was for me to lose 10% of my body weight. So once I lost it, 30lbs, I was off the shakes. I have successfully kept the weight off also lost another 15lbs on my own.

Since the start of this lifestyle change:

  1. I met my now husband.
  2. Gained the confidence to take full body photographs.
  3. Eliminate toxic relationships with foods, people, and activities.
  4. Joined and stayed at an amazing community gym for over a year (HIIT classes)

My next hurdle... wONEderland

AKA getting below 200lbs.

I know weight is a number but I want to crush this number!
