So... I'm new to this bloggin thing but I'm very excited to keep going on this journey, I guess I can call it: MY WEIGHT LOSS SUCCESS STORY!

 

First of all let me introduce myself, my name is Jessica, I'm 30 years old and a mom of a beautiful boy who is my everything (looking forward to gave him a sibiling). 

I've always have issues with my weight, like almost every woman in the world. I really enjoy a good meal, a glass of wine (or 3 LOL) and lots of desserts, but somehow I've always manage to stay on a "healthy" range, or I thougt so, until my child came into the picture. 

I was at 141 lbs when I got preagnant, gain 44 lbs in the process and only lost 22 lbs on my child's first year, not so proud of it. I always struggled with diets and excercise (I just didn't liked it) so I decide I need to do something different if I wanted to change my body and my selfsteem.

My husbad told me about Insanity, and it was INSANE, not only just did 3 days, I felt like I was dying, didn't want to look at the mirror because the woman standing there it wasn't me, I felt ugly and sad, tired all the time, bloated, etc.

I gave Insanity and a new diet another try with a friend and stick to it the hole program (minor injuries came but I manage to stay active). After the 60 day program I didn't notice major difference, I was depressed, all of my efforts worth NOTHING, I was angry with myself and delete all my "before" pictures because I looked the same, nothing (or I thought so) was change.

After  A LOT of reading in blogs, talked to nutricionists and change routines, I began to see changes in my body, finally I was seeing results, not as fast as I wanted to but still I was feeling way more better with myself. I even started to buy new clothes or fixed the ones who start falling off my frame. 

A Year went by and I was at 141 lbs again, but somehow my clothes fit a bit weird, my body was so different, my hips were bigger than before my child, my boobs had dissapeared, I really wasn't happy with the change, my belly was still saggy, stretch marks were visible and something told me YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ELSE! so I did. A coleage from work told me my problem was that I was "SKINNY FAT", that I need to incorporate weight training and not just focuse on cardio, improve my diet and results will come...and they did! I started P90X and follow the meal plan from a nutricionist and by the end of the program my body was more lean and dropped another 4.5 lbs. Picture on black dress was in that time (oct-nov 2013)

That was a year ago, since that time I try to stay healthy, keep moving from different trainers (Zuzka, Jillian Michaels, Autumn Calabrese) and my weight has stayed the same but now I notice mayor differences, my muscles are more defined (legs mostly), my tummy is almost flat, clothes fit better, although I wear same size I feel more fit, attractive, HAPPY! 

Hope my story wasn't boring and help others, it took me a few years but now I love the healthy life and that's something I'm sure I'll keep years to come. Weight loss is not an instant thing, it has to be a lifestyle to keep healthy.
