Round Goals

The object of the game is to maintain your initial weight for 12 months, with a +2% allowance to allow for daily fluctuations (you can also lose up to 4%). To make that easier, we break the Maintainer into 12 rounds, each with its own pot, giving you regular accountability and incentives. That means if you stay within -4% to +2% of your weight all year, you can cash out 12 times!

Miss a goal for a round? Don’t worry—you can still win the next round and the Grand Prize at the end of Round 12. Half the bets are spread across the first 11 rounds, and the winners of Round 12 split the other half. The goal for each round is the same, though you MUST be between -4% and +5% of your initial weight by the end of Round 11 to be eligible to win the final pot. This is to prevent unsafe sprints at the end.

Rounds 1-10: between -4% and +2%

Round 11: between -4% and +2% to win; within -4% and +5% to qualify for Round 12 (MANDATORY)

Round 12: between -4% and +2% (MANDATORY)

How do we verify your weight?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

Cool. I never did anything but read the book and join some free Facebook groups (so never did the 14 Day Challenge or any Boot Camp) but it worked well for me. Been maintaining for over a year now.

Round 11 already!! Maintaining is so hard. I feel like I spend the last two weeks of the month counting calories like crazy to get into range and then end up binging once the next round starts. I just wanna stop the up & down (even if it’s just 5# swing) and weird relationship with food. So, I started listing to Intuitive Eating audio book this morning.

It has always been impossible for me to maintan my weight. One thing that has helped me is to submit a progress weigh in every week. A once a month weigh in just isn’t enough for me.

Omg I do the same thing! After I make my weigh in a pig out like crazy! Sometimes for an entire week. I made every single weigh in except the last one which made me realize I gotta deal with this differently.

For the first time since this game started, I weighed below (0.2 below, but that's fine) my initial weight! Feel great, too. I'm still going to be checking obsessively until it's approved, though. :)

This last month has been the hardest all year.i think the polar vortex had something to do with it.as did going on Vaca for 2 weeks after Xmas and am having a harder and harder time dropping when I gain a lb or 2. My Dr also put me on birth control to help with hormones and I am convinced I want to eat non stop because of it!. But I made it with a lb to spare. Too close for me.i really need to get with it!!

I made huge progress this month. I came back from my holiday weight gain and was .4 away from my goal weight range. I literally lost 10 lbs this month and I was so close. But I feel like I won even though I didn’t win money. I will keep on the path and next month I will win money too!

Onto Round 11! Weigh in as much as you like during this round to stay accountable and motivated. Keep yourself accountable by weighing in unofficially or by submitting progress weigh-ins through Membership. To reward players for consistency each Wednesday we’ll randomly reward an exciting progress prize to one or more players who submitted a Progress weigh-in during the 7 days leading up to the drawing. Any official weigh-in’s submitted within the 7-day Progress weigh-in window will automatically apply as the weeks Progress weigh-in. Remember, that only official, Referee-verified weigh-ins determine who wins. At the end of the round, DietBet Referees will verify every player's weight, and this weigh-in determines the round's winners. Remember, you didn't have to win the previous round to win this one! It's almost time for the final weigh-in for Round 10! Once the round ends on Feb 1 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Feb 3 to submit your final weight for the round. Even if you're not a winner, please weigh-in—tracking your progress keeps you accountable and makes you more likely to reach your long-term goal!

One the weigh-in period begins, visit the game page to get your weigh-in word and submit your photos. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and hold the celebrations until you get an email letting you know your weigh-in was approved (Check your spam folder if you don't see one.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner for this round.

The round will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins are submitted. Good luck!
