How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Today is a special day for me. There were days I doubted it would ever come. Today I have officially lost 150+ pounds and my health and wellness charm bracelet has been filled! It has been quite a journey to get here and my journey will continue as I am not quite at my goal. I’m still trying to decide how to best celebrate this next phase of my journey as awarding myself with a charm for every 10 pounds lost has been very motivating and now I have a beautiful beach-themed bracelet to wear next spring on our family vacation to Florida. Another bracelet would be nice but thankfully I don’t have another 150 pounds to lose to fill it up. 😊

My 15th charm is a sand dollar. The sand dollar is my way of reflecting on my thankfulness to Jesus for not only being my Lord and Savior but for being my companion and encourager throughout this journey. In case you aren’t familiar with the Legend of the Sand Dollar, here it is:

The legend of the Sand dollar
That I would like to tell
Of the birth and death of Jesus Christ
    Found in this lowly shell.

    If you will examine closely,
You'll see that you find here
Four nail holes and a fifth one
    Made by a Roman's spear.

On one side the Easter Lily,
    It's center is the star
    That appeared unto the shepherds
    And led them from afar.

    The Christmas Poinsettia
    Etched on the other side
    Reminds us of His birthday,
    Our joyous Christmas tide.

    Now break the center open
    And here you will release
    The five white doves awaiting
To spread good will and peace.

    This simple little symbol,
Christ left for you and me.
To help to spread His Message
    Through all eternity.

I messaged support. The app kept crashing on me (my fault for waiting until last minute I know) and I never even got to see the code word. Is it possible I can still weigh in when there was trouble like this? Ive been at goal weight for months.

I had to weigh in from the main browser bc I had the same problem

I didn't even think about that! Ugh.

I'm pretty disappointed in myself. I basically did nothing and surprise, did not come anywhere near my goal. It's ridiculous, the amount of self-sabotage at play. I am so curious to hear how much $$ everyone won - maybe that will motivate me to try this again!! I know I can do it - I just have to commit. I don't know why that is so hard!!

It hasn’t tallied up winnings yet, and I’m not sure if it’ll let me come back to the game after it closes but I did another transformer that ended a month ago. The winnings were about $245.

I really hope you find the motivation you need! I know how hard it is. I barely scraped by this time after gaining weight back, and I feel so stupid for letting myself do that. I’m going to take a cooling off period to regroup/enjoy the holidays and start another transformer in Jan. I hope that time to refocus will allow me to really zero in on myself and my goals.

Good luck

It says I won $293 which I believe includes the $25/mth I "won" back. This is first time in 4 years I have been able to stick with it. So don't give up on yourself. For me the key ended up being stopping the quick fix fads and focusing on calories, portion size, and lots of movement. That's why i liked the 6 month timeline. The sister sites Runbet and Stepbet were helpful in achieving the move portion. Best wishes to you.

I could not weigh in on my app yesterday and now I missed it :( I am crazy bummed, I busted my butt on this!

I missed out on another one because I submitted a progress weigh in not a final weigh in :/ it’s a bummer but congrats on making your goals!!

Jennie C.

I had to go to the browser to weigh in bc the app wouldn’t work for me either

When I think back to when this dietbet started, I had a lot of doubt if I would succeed. I have always sabotaged myself. I would do good for a couple weeks then eat like a pig and be back at square one. My goal here was to lose 32lbs. I ended with a loss of 37lbs!!! I started at 320 and am now 283. I NEVER want to see 300. I am now focused on getting under 200. I’m glad I took the plunge and joined and I look forward to my next dietbet. Good luck to you all in your future endeavours! ❤😊❤

Congrats! I’m so happy for you!! I remember how great it felt to get below 300! I was still above that weight at 305 when this game started and I ended the game at 249.5. It felt so good to get under 250 and was surprised I lost 55.5 pounds in 6 months. Sometimes it seems like such a slow process but we’ve accomplished a lot in 6 months. I can’t wait to see what the next 6 months bring. I’m chasing Onderland too!

Gahhh it’s over! Word of advice, make sure you don’t have a vacation planned 2 weeks before your dietbet ends 😬😬😬 I did OK on vacation but had some work to do this past week to make sure I made weight. But y’all I surprised myself and crushed it! Joining another in January for sure I still have a ways to go! Now to anxiously wait approval so I can have a small treat to celebrate!!
