  • Healthy product review: Viking Protein Waffles

    I tend to avoid buying packaged foods. For the most part I cook my own food from fresh ingredients from my local market but occasionally I like to try natural products I can use when I need a quick meal.

    I heard about Viking Waffles online and was impressed with the reviews I read so I decided to order some to check them out for myself. I was not disappointed!

    200 calories, 5 net carbs, 21 g protein for a large waffle. Made with all natural ingredients; the waffles need to be stored in the freezer unless you use them right away. I had one for breakfast this morning and enjoyed it very much. I like my waffles toasted; the pic looks a little dark but it tasted amazing! Tastes like a waffle, texture is a little more dense than a traditional Belgian waffle but not nearly as dense as other high protein baked goods I’ve tried. Best low carb waffle I’ve tried, hands down. And I t was super filling! I’ve seen people online use the waffle as bread replacement for sandwiches too so I can’t wait to experiment. I will definitely be ordering more. I love that 1 waffle gives me the same protein as 3 eggs, 2-3 servings of yogurt or a small chicken breast. I love eggs but I like to mix up my breakfasts every now and then. And I’m officially burned out on protein shakes. 😊
