How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I rode 26 miles. We were biking in cool, overcast morning alongside fields of corn and soybeans. It was cool and quiet and SO lovely.

We saw a GROUP of fast-flying yellow finches, 2 hawks, piles of lovely wildflowers, barns, old houses, butterflies, trees, streams, fields, beautiful clouds...it was lovely. Crickets and cicadas serenaded us the whole way.

Towards the end I was MISERABLE, AND we couldn't find the path as the signs were taken down too early, but the Cycle for Life folks from CF rescued us and drove us the rest of the back. I have now napped (for over 3 hours) and I feel better.

26 miles, wow!

Thanks, Jennifer L! It was out in Illinois farmland, so pretty flat.
