How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Hi. I’m new and this is the first time I’ve felt brave enough to post. I need help. I’ve followed Lexi on instagram for a while and joined this dietbet on aug 10th. I’ve eaten junk food and drank pop for literally decades and I feel scared to give up that way of life. I don’t know why but every day I try and every day I fall back into my old ways. Has anyone else felt like this and had this trouble? Thanks for listening.

Sounds to me like maybe this way of life for you goes way deeper, forgive me if I'm wrong. I've been there, for z long time. My ex husband was severely bipolar (untreated) for 10 years of our marriage. What I ate was literally the only thing I had control over in my life. It has taken me several years and lots of therapy but I'm finally to the place I can lose weight. Sometimes eating unhealthy is not an easy thing to stop especially if there's some things you are dealing with on a deep level. Self love, self care is very important. And take really small steps, you may not be ready for a dietbet yet. I started with instead of eliminating things, I would tell myself this week I'm gonna drink 20 oz of water and eat a serving of fruit every day. You will slowly see that by starting small habits like this, the unhealthy stuff seems less important. I wish you well! You can do this, I know it, bc you're asking for help and that is the first step!

Just remember, slow and steady. Start with small goals. Eliminate 1 and replace it with something healthy (that you like) be kind to yourself. Look in the mirror and tell yourself " I am worth this effort' Picture yourself down 15lbs. or so and treat yourself to something special as a reward. Pair of shoes, manicure, pedicure massage etc. You can do this!!
