How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • I haven’t completed any of the challenges so far this game because my dog has needed around the clock care and supervision due to health complications. He’s doing better now so I’m committing to rest of the challenges left. I have managed to keep my eating on point. The plan is to get to my goal weight (for this game) by Thanksgiving so I can eat what I want. Then, I’ll have a few days to get the Thanksgiving weight back off. I hope this DietBet continues because it’s one of my favorites. I’ll need to do about 2 more to get to a weight I feel comfortable with. I hope they bring back a maintainer game. Keep up the hard work everyone. It can be tough to stay motivated sometimes but the payoff is more than worth it. It we stick with healthy habits long enough it’ll become easier and just part of who we are.

He's cute and way more important than the challenges, although I love the challenges. I agree with you: hope there will be more Fitbit Dietbets with Jen after this one.

Thanks for the support! I’ve had my little pooch for over 15 years and the vet says he has a lot of life left him since the cancerous tumor has been removed. I know first hand that eating is much more important than exercise for weight loss. Sometimes I actually gain weight when I exercise more because it makes me more hungry and eat more. I exercise for the energy it gives me and how it makes me feel. Walking (not on the treadmill), swimming, and Zumba are what I enjoy most. This game is perfect for my because the challenges are just the right amount for me.
