How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I wanted to put this out there.... a) just to keep myself accountable... b) to maybe help someone else.

I actually started my "diet" a few days before the "bet" hoping to drop a few pounds before my daughter's wedding in September. I know it is a long way away but I have to start somewhere. My husband and I joined a gym Friday and did a 30 minute workout that afternoon. Since Hubby is out of out this week, my plan was to work out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week but I forgot all about Pokeno last night so I missed working out.... not only did I miss my workout, I overate and blew my calorie count... now I am basically back to square one... I had lost about 5 pounds over the past several days and just about gained it all back. Now I sit here thinking about what I ate, how I felt after I ate it, and the results on the scale this morning, I am ashamed of myself.... my only hope is that I will use this experience to make better choices over the next several months.

I know what I am supposed to eat, I know how it makes me feel to eat healthy... just as I know how it feels to make unhealthy food choices. Why do we insist on doing this to our bodies?

Today is a new day!!!! Gonna put my big girl (pardon the pun) panties on kick some butt!

Don't look back... keep moving forward!

Chug Lotsa water and drink green tea, you'll lose the water weight in the next few days :)

This post reminds me of how I feel after I eat unhealthy. I will feel sick sometime after eating unhealthy and then the numbers on the scale go up even higher. It’s time to break the cycle.
