For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Question.... Which do you prefer? I’m trying to decide if I should get a gym membership. Right now Planet Fitness is $1 down and $10 a month.

1. An elliptical to work out on in your guest bedroom
2. Walk/ run around the neighborhood
3. Go to the gym and workout

I'd say combo of elliptical at home and outside, no reason you can't do both and changing it up is nice. I personally got myself an elliptical and passed up a gym membership so I could spend more time with my family and take 20-30+ minutes a day to get my "me time" in on the elliptical or we all go on a walk. Now if I didn't have young kids I'd totally get a gym membership. I used to spend hours there doing everything I wanted when I was single and not a mom. My other half and I work full time and we always tryin yo soend as much time as a family together that we can. Whatever is sustainable for your life is what will fit and work best. Best of luck!

Also I wanted to add that since I have the elliptical for cardio (live in Alaska and I can't stand waking outside in the cold winters lol) I plan to soon invest in some sort of full body strength training machine like a total gym with built in weights. Soon this girl is going to want to build some more muscle on top of the cardio
