How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Who needs some extra inspiration today?

I saw this story in my newsfeed on Facebook from the Today Show.

Link >> Small changes that helped this man lose 200 pounds

Not only is this story inspiring, but it shows that small changes can add up when you're consistent and you keep pushing.  He first strated with just walking around his couch.  Then he started walking around his house.  Just that change alone added up to 15 pounds in the first month.  That enabled him to start moving more.

Then he started tweaking his diet by swapping regular soda for diet soda, whole milk to 2% milk.  As he continued to make progress, he continued to make changes.

He shares these tips for others hoping to lose weight and improve their health.

1.  Record it.

2.  Slow progress is still progress.

3.  Look for support.

To date, he's lost 200 lbs and hopes to lose another 100 this year.

Just remember:

Small changes add up.

Take lots of pictures to track your progress for when the scale isn't showing your hard work.

Track your food and your workouts.  If you use an app like MyFitnessPal, you can link your Garmin, Fitbit, etc. to it so you can track your workouts.

Just keep going!
