How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Hey everyone,

My name is Krystyna, and I joined this DietBet to help motivate me to get serious about losing a few pounds, and keeping it off—my weight has been a roller coaster over the years....I do well for awhile, then wind up backsliding. With summer around the corner, and my 36th birthday approaching (tomorrow!), I want this to be my healthiest year yet!

I’m also using this DietBet to experiment with a more plant-based diet—I’ve been a heavy meat eater for years, and think it negatively affected my kidneys 😟 So, I’m hoping my body (and waistline) respond well to my new diet. I’m really digging this water challenge—I’m up to 32 oz today, and don’t think I’ll have any problems hitting 64 oz

Welcome Krystyna! We're so happy to have you here with us! Thank you for introducing yourself! Plant-based diets really do seem to help a lot of people. There's lots to be said for all those healthy veggies! I wish you the best in your efforts and in reaching your goals!

I'm trying to eat more balanced. I struggle with getting enough protein, so I'm really paying attention to balancing protein, carbs, and fat right now.
