Hi Everyone! I read in Diana's intro about struggles with starting Working out, so I thought I'd discuss it a bit and give some tips!

First a little background, I NEVER worked out before I started losing weight last March. I hated doing anything besides walking from the coach to the fridge. So to start working out I focused on Making Myself Consistent.

1) Create a schedule.
Start small and build up. I started with dedicating myself to 3 days a week for 20-30mins. as time went on, I made my workouts longer, then added more days.
2) Exercise by doing things you Enjoy.
This is SO important because your main focus is to make exercising a part of your regular routine. If you Hate the workouts your doing, it'll make sticking to it SOOO much harder. I started with basic treadmill, stair master, and at home Zumba workouts because they were Fun!
3) No Excuses!
Get your workouts Done! Wake up earlier or stay up later if you have to! But get it done! Remind yourself you're not just working out to 'burn calories' but you're working out for your Health. Get your blood pumping and heart rate up, get yourself Healthy!

Once you start seeing improvement- you're strength and stamina grow- it will fuel your FIRE!

Reporting here... I just did 31 minutes on the elliptical and I did not die. I'm feeling great!!!!!!! Also I walked my dog yesterday and danced a little :grin:
