KETO QUESTION: I’ve never done it before but in thinking about it I’m wondering, are you supposed to be watching your calories as well, or is it just a free for all with hardly any carbs? Is there still a calorie amount you should be at everyday?

I track my calories now because after the initial water weight loss I hit a stall. Your body goes through sugar withdrawals at first so I think at you should just make sure you are comfortable and focus on eating under 20g of carbs

Excess protein can be stored in your muscles/fat so eventually calories do matter. It's also not quite as simple as just not eating carbs. You have to healthy fats in. Guacomole/avocado, grass fed butter, fat bombs can all help. Now south beach isn't quite as restrictive nor does it emphasis high fat. Its all lean meats, veggies (low carb ones) and fat free Dairy. Google is your best friend on figuring these things out as there is a lot more info or there than we can post in a comment :)
