How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I’m not even close to my goal, but I’m proud that I haven’t gained weight and I will not let negativity take over. I will not quit. I will keep trying until the last day!!

And keep on keeping!!!! You’ll get to where you want to go!

I started dietbet in November. I was surprised at how 'slowly' I was losing weight. Previously, I would have quit and likely gained more weight because I felt the process was too slow. But for some reason I stayed. I now appreciate the NSVs like being able to button a shirt I wore about 3 years ago, but could no longer get over my arms it was so tight. The fact my knees don't rip when I walk up stairs. The ability to walk longer and farther than I used to. The fact I actually am happy with my food choices instead of mindless eating. I started discouraged and 251 pounds. Now I'm down to 195--slow, never steady, often losing a few pounds over and over again, and quite a few frustrating weigh ins.

Please stick with it! You are no longer where you were and you will get where you want to be. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and find ways to enjoy the trip. Power on!!!
