How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Happy Monday all!

Here we are headed into our 3rd week!!

I had a successful weekend of not gaining any weight and quite honestly that is the best feeling EVER! Weekends are hard for me so anytime I'm on track I celebrate the small victory. I was 192 this morning and am planning on cardio this evening, I would really like to break into the 180's this week!!

What are your guys goals this week? Who's close to meeting their first goal if not already there?

My goal is to carefully watch what I’m eating. Write down every food before I put it in my mouth, so I don’t accidentally eat over. Hoping to get the scale to move more in the right direction!:hibiscus:

I’ve hit a bit of a plateau. Again. My weight seems to be hovering above where I should be & not going down. But since it’s not going back up, I am not going to complain. I’ll try to keep going & see if I reach goal.

  • Successful week for me, finally back on track after the 4th of July festivities! Friday night workout 3 miles and shoulder workout and over 11k steps for me to start the weekend off right! Hope you all had a successful week and keeping your goals in mind.
Weekends can be challenging and it being summer makes it that much harder. We go out, pool, vacations all possibilities for us to slip up but it’s always up to us to make better decisions. Tomorrow I have a friends birthday to go to but plan on keeping it low carb per usually!

What’s everyone doing this weekend? How was your guys 2nd week? Would love to hear some updates!!

Having so much trouble with sodium retention. I need to drink to loose on the scale but i retain fluid badly.

Sweet! For me this was a good weekend too. We had a surprise 50th party for my one childhood friend. First time ever I took a little of everything EXCEPT the hamburgers & hot dogs. Focused more on the salads (there was a wide variety and most were healthy)

  • Hello everyone I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to everyone that is already here!

I'm Franny I have naturally lost 140 lbs., today I have actually hit my lowest adult weight ever of 191 lbs. which I still can not believe!! Dietbet has been apart of my life for the last 2 years and I have had the privilege of hosting 11 kickstarters and helping 8,500 people reach their weightloss goals! This is the first time I am helping host a Transformer but I am excited nonetheless!

I began my own weightloss in 2016 just eating a low carb diet & a lot of cardio, when I say a lot I mean ALOT. It sucked I won't lie but 2016 was my sacrifice year, that was the year I dedicated 100% of my life to my weightloss & it was worth it, I lost 100lbs! 2017 I lost even more weight totaling 130 lbs.. 2018 came and I will admit I fell back into some old habits I was still working out but my food choices were lacking. January 2019 I weighed in at 221lbs (re-gain of 23lbs from my lowest) I was distraught and upset at myself. I quickly reminded myself how hard I had worked the previous years & immediately got back into gear and I 100% know dietbet has helped me get to where I'm at & I'm excited to help and cheer you all on through these first 2 months of the game! My current routine still includes a low carb diet cardio and my love for Crossfit.

Here's my CF story if interested:

If you don't know I share my weightloss journey on Instagram @isfrannyfityet & would love for you to follow along with me there also! I will do my best to keep you all motivated and pushing toward your goals and getting your money back I know there is a lot at stake here! Would love for everyone to introduce themselves so I can learn about you also. Why are you participating in this Transformer? What is something you hope to accomplish these next 6 months other than losing weight? What are some things you struggle with when it comes to weightloss?

Jennifer, yes, there is a maximum weight loss allowed. If you scroll to the bottom of this page and select "rules" and then "transformer," you will find them. I'll cut and paste them here:

Disqualification. Each round in Transformer has its own disqualification threshold. If you lose more than the maximum allowed weight, you will be disqualified for the remainder of the game. This is to prevent players from going overboard or using bariatric procedures during the game.

Round 1 - 12%
Round 2 - 18%
Round 3 - 24%
Round 4 - 27%
Round 5 - 30%
Round 6 - 30%

Hello! I've been gaining and losing the same 35 lbs (btwn 150-185) for 19 years now. I joines this transformer because I'm turning 33 in November and I'm sick and tired of being overweight or obese. In regards to NSV, I hope to be able to make better food choices at least 80% of the time. What I struggle with is finding time/ energy to exercise and to plan, shop for, prepare and eat healthy meals. It's so easy to just get fast food. I work at an elementary school as a SLP and those kids wear you out. By 3 pm, I am drained! I'm also going to be attending Grad school part time in the fall... I struggle with binge eating-- particularly with chocolate, brownies, cookies, bread, etc. So, I'm treating it as an addiction and quitting carbs for awhile. Going to try this keto thing and see if it works out.

  • Yesterday was just a strong workout durning the championship tennis match at Wimbledon. Wow, felt like such a lazy ass and my wife reminded me every point. Love that tenacious support.

So today was catch up. Walking and biking.

I see a lot if people posting about Built bars. Do I have to buy them directly from their website or are they available in any retail stores?

Brenda L. likes this comment.

Brenda L.

I have not found them at any stores so I buy them directly from their website. There are always coupon codes available for like 10% off. They are my favorite bars.

  • June 15:
exercise: running 40min in the evening
food: keto and intermittent fasting from 8.00 p.m. therefore will only eat at 12.00 noon tomorrow
    what done well?
    1) going running despite not wanting to at the beginning
    2) keep to keto diet despite having cravings
    3) had morning 15min HIIT exercise which boosted the whole day mood

    what to improve tomorrow?
ensure enough sleep and recovery time

Today is the first day that I can actually FEEL my weight loss. I can tell that my stomach is not as bloaty or poofing out as much as it used to. I still don't think I can see a difference yet but I'm ok with that because I actually feel better physically. Which is SUCH a great feeling!

Angela D. , Erika C. and like this comment.

Hey. You know what they say, 90% of feeling good is looking good.

Erika C.

Yes! That's what keeps me going on the days that the scale and measurements don't change.

I have been really bad! I started out soooo good! But then I had a pity party for myself and I have gained weight. But I am back on track. Hopefully I can stay on track. I need to enlist the help of my husband. I didn’t want to tell him I was trying to lose weight again, but he keeps wanting to eat burgers and fries from Culver’s. I just can’t say no. If he knows I am am dieting he won’t suggest eating out.
