  • A digital camera or smartphone

One of the most important things you can do for better nutrition is to drink more water!

Drinking plenty of water is essential for your health. Water is an important part of all body functions and processes, including digestion and elimination. When you’re on a diet, water also acts as a weight-loss aid because it can help you eat less.

Drinking water is important during weight loss because it provides hydration without unwanted calories. Drinking non-caloric fluids like water before or with a meal can help you feel full sooner. In addition to not adding calories, drinking water may help replace or avoid unnecessary food calories found in snacks or extra servings at mealtime. Drinking water also helps flush wastes from the body, which is especially important during times of fat metabolism and weight loss.

Recommendations from the Food and Nutrition Board are for women to get 91 ounces per day and men 125 ounces from all sources — water, other beverages, and foods with a high water content.

I aim to get a gallon a day because I’m active and need to replenish fluids I lose during vigorous exercise.

This week be intentional about your water consumption. Catalog it, I make tally marks in my daily planner, one tally for every 8 ounces I drink. Then report back on this post next Monday with how many ounces you drank daily, Monday(today)-Sunday. The winner of this challenge will be announced next Tuesday, July 16th, and will win a $50 Amazon gift card! You will only be eligible to win if you consume at least 64 ounces of water a day, so get guzzling!!

Happy first challenge day!! Feel free to post your meals, workouts, selfies, etc. on the feed! ❤ And give your fellow participants lots of encouragement and love! Yes

My daily water intake was 75-100 oz daily. I kept count of how much I was drinking throughout the day! At first it was hard to remember but I forced it and now I can do it no problem!
