Anyone doing the keto diet? I’m a pasta lover, how hard is the no carb thing? Also do you feel like drained all the time? I feel like it’s such a heavy diet (food wise not weight wise obviously lol)

Been Keto/Low Carb since October 2018. Love it. I don't feel the meals are "heavy". If anything they are less than I would normally eat if it was loaded with carbs. Meats, low carb veggies, eggs, and cheese are my main foods. Occasionally I will make Fathead Dough and almond flour dinner rolls, but I still want to eat ALL the "bread" items, so I don't do that too often. Find substitutes for one thing at a time and work up to it. The first week or two can be pretty hard, but once you are through that it is much easier. Lots of water, watch your sodium intake, make sure to get electrolytes in.

I've been on keto for a little over 3 months and felt pretty rough the first few weeks. Getting enough water helps a ton and it can be less heavy with some tweaks. I focus on a lot of veggies with fiber, healthy fats, and meat. A common lunch I'll have is spinach, broccoli, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, and full fat dressing. It's filling, but not heavy and bloating. It takes a while to find what works specifically for you, but I enjoy it. Hope this helps!
