How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I’m not sure if I’ll do another 6 month one. Biggest reason is I’m at the point where losing weight is extremely slow. But another big reason is I feel like the one month challenges are super quick, challenging and rewarding where this one I was like well I have a few months and didn’t push myself as hard. Anyone else?

I find a combination of the long and short term goals helps - it’s easy to stick with a stricter regime for 4 weeks but is it sustainable longer term? I have done both types in the past (a couple of years ago now) and when I was able to I did to do the monthly ones alongside 6 monthly as a bit of a booster - the monthly ones were challenging however it meant that I was always well ahead on the 6 monthly ones (which was a nice extra payout.) This time around the 6 monthly was much harder due to personal circumstances around Xmas/ jan / Feb (couldn’t quite keep up with the pace!) so it was great to have the time to catch up towards the end when things went a bit wrong in the middle - I think I made the first round and the last round so hopefully will just cover my initial stake, but at no point did I feel demotivated or stop trying because the end point always seemed achievable (even when weight loss was slow!). Each to their own, you have to do what’s right in your circumstances - if you find the 4 weekly ones more motivating and think you’re more likely to be successful with those then I say go for it
