How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Between 2 different medications that both have weight gain as a side effect plus an ankle that has been injured for 2 weeks (I’m getting it xrayed today to see what is going on as it’s getting worse rather than better) I only made it to 24% of my goal. Which is devastating (especially as I’m signed up to a transformer as well and likewise will not be able to hit goals there while I’m on this medication). BUT I haven’t actually gained weight since starting the meds 3 weeks ago but have maintained the loss that I achieved in the first week. So a small victory even if it’s not the win I was hoping for this round.

Not gaining anything while starting on 2 medications that cause weight gain? Sounds like a huge success to me! You’ve surmounted many obstacles.

Thank you Naomi - some days I was really quite down about it but I am proud that I didn’t gain any extra weight. I even had 2 back to back days of birthday celebrations (my daughters 13th plus a friend’s 50th) that both had pizza and cake, which I enjoyed in moderation. I’ve definitely built healthier habits in the 2 DietBets I’ve done - just so frustrating that I ended up ill during both.
