  • Hi Team! Happy first Monday of 2020 I hope you all kicked it off with a bang and hopefully a workout. Personally it's my rest day :) I have been pushing extremely hard since x-mas through when our game started and need a quick re-charge. Not only that BUT I do find my food doesn't go as off track if I keep my rest days during the week vs the weekend.. anyone else? I try and workout both Saturday and Sunday most weeks. One of my resolutions this year is to focus more on food and not so much time in the gym. Over these last 4 years I have been very dedicated and of course it has paid off but I know there will be a time when I cant workout 6 days a week, life will change and I want to know that me not being in the gym everyday doesn't mean I cant lose or maintain my weight. The scale was down a bit this morning and I'm drinking my gallon of water :)

Last post someone asked my calorie intake and honestly it varies but I would say I'm anywhere between 1300-1600 a day and under 130g of carbs (sometimes more if I have a hard workout) I do my best to eat only when I'm hungry which is something I never did before, during the week with my job it's simple for me to stay on track and in deficit, I'm always busy and don't have time to sit around and think about food like on the weekends. A set schedule always helps me.

    Todays eats so far

Breakfast : 3 scrambled eggs & bacon for breakfast
Lunch : 2 portions of Chicken salad (premade from Costco) not my favorite w/ skinny popcorn cakes (my fav) If you are a big rice cake fan you would love the popcorn cakes they are almost identical in macros FYI next time you are at the grocery store look for them.
Dinner : I put a pot roast in the slow cooker before I left for work, I'll share how it comes out when I get home tonight. We will do a veggie and most likely cauliflower rice.
Also i'll have either a built bar or the Breyers Carb Smart ice cream
