How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Congratulations everyone! My target was 7 pounds down, and according to my fancy scale, I lost 11 pounds of fat and gained 9 pounds of muscle (I was doing lots of exercise!) - so I feel like a winner but not according to the net loss for DietBet. Enjoy a few extra pennies on me and good luck next time!

  • The scale does body fat percentage. Not sure how accurate it is, but every bit if encouragement helps, right! I've had it a long time and there's no manufacturer mark on it, sorry. Looks like this. The metal bits sense body fat somehow.

Yeah. It’s good to know because sometimes we think we are retaining fat and sometimes it’s mostly water that we retain and we have to change our routine and eating habits to see changes. But I heard those scales help a lot... like a prediction somehow accurate.
Thanks a lot and keep the good work!
