How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I’m wondering if anyone else is struggling with losing weight while in lockdown? I’ve actually gained 5 pounds since starting the challenge so now I need to lose 15 pounds in the next 50 days. I know it can be done if I immediately switch to low carb and intermittent fasting. I applaud all the hard core training that people are posting about and I’m trying to also take inspiration from that, but I’d love to hear from others who are stress eating or just not where they’d like to be at on the scale. We still have time to turn this around. Thanks!!!!!

Thanks so much for commenting! The photos y’all are posting are inspiring- they remind me of the days when I trained for marathons, triathlons and century rides (it’s been 10 years since my last endurance event). I’ve been dipping into my memory bank to remember how good it felt working out back then and trying to get motivated to get back into a serious regimen. Y’all’s photos help - please keep posting them and thanks for sharing about your motivation!!!

I love this comment. I’ve been able to get back into cross training with running and cycling and it has done wonders for my motivation, but I’m still working through my evening cravings. It’s annoying and frustrating. One tool I’ve been using that has been helpful is CalorieKing. I don’t enjoy counting calories, but I’m just obsessive enough to follow my daily count. If I want to eat a bunch of peanut butter, I do, but I still stay within my daily count. It’s helping me to learn portion control and discipline. I don’t know if any of that is helpful to you or anyone else, but you’re not alone in your struggle! Thanks for being real!
