How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

TIP OF THE WEEKEND: Vacations and time away strategies to help reduce overindulging too much- We all take time away at some point from everyday life and it's usually a vacation when a lot of people come back heavier. It's to be expected even if you are diligent. I've been on several cruises and because the food is endless, it's not hard to see why people can come off even just a 4-day cruise, 10lbs heavier.
So some strategies I try to employ and advise to my clients: KEEP EXERCISING. The cruises I went on all had gyms. I was in there at 6 am every morning for at least an hour. Let's face it, your family and significant other are still likely sleeping from the previous nights' fiascos, so you're NOT losing time with them. On the ship I would also walk the decks stairs for everything.
When you go to eat, try to eat vegetables in bulk before eating everything else. The more you fill yourself up with fibrous vegetables, the less room there is for high calorie pastas and desserts.
Keep alcohol to a minimum. This is a hard one for many, but one of the worst things you can do is eat a lot, then pound alcohol and go to sleep. Basically everything you've consumed won't get burned off because alcohol needs to be metabolized first before any other energy source is used.
And lastly, try not to hang around the food areas. It's so much easier to be tempted if you're hanging around the buffet area all day.
Hopefully when you plan your next vacation, you plan how to keep weight gain to a minimal as well.

I’m a cruise lover. I also love the ships’ gym over looking the water. I always take the stairs because who wants to wait for an elevator? Also another tip is to plan active excursions. I love to pick excursions that involve moving my body.

This was perfect timing for today. I'm having a staycation with some visitors. Our normal get togethers have an overabundance of indulgent foods. I'm worried I'm going to go off the rails but maybe keeping my exercise routine will help me remember not to undo all my good progress!
Thanks!
