How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Hi! This is my second...maybe third attempt at a Dietbet challenge.
Between 2008-2013, I had lost 70 pounds and was running half marathons and finished a full marathon! Everything seemed to be going great, but then I started feeling different. Little by little, I began losing motivation, stress eating, and becoming withdrawn. In the span of one year, I, not only gained back the 70 pounds, but also added 20 more. As much as I tried, I would lose some weight and then gain it all back. I couldn’t figure out what was happening until late 2018. My work environment had become so toxic, that I was ready to end my life. Luckily, a good friend of mine could see how bad it had become and I went to my doctor. He told me...not suggested...to seek psychiatric help immediately! I was diagnosed with severe major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and avoidance personally disorder. As hard as it was to learn this, it also gave me a lot of answers. After 4 months of out-patient therapy, I regained my life back and found a new sense of hope and learn to live a life for me. Oh...back to the weight. Currently, I weigh 260 pounds and with focus and determination, I know I can achieve my goals and begin to see myself in a whole new light.

You can do this don’t give up, I understand and for me just .5 pound a week is a win because I can maintain that. Just start small and keep going!!
