How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

This is my first time doing this and I’m was just wondering if y’all knew his many people normally complete the challenge. For example in this challenge of 300. Would you say about 150 would reach there goals or less or more? Just curious. I’m going in for the goal like everyone else and i hope we all can stick to it.

Im not sure of the average. Ive heard anywhere from 40-50% achieve the goal. In my last challenge, I didn't reach the goal, BUT I was SO proud of myself for losing 6.8 lbs in a month. I've never achieved that before, so even if you don't reach the official challenge goal, you will hopefully hit a new personal goal :)

  • This is my 4th month in a row doing dietbet and im down to the last 15-20 pounds and opted for this transformer because the closer I get to my goal weight the harder it is for the weight to come off. Anyway, 180 to 154 since beginning of March! Let's do this ya'll! 🙌

@Jenna B counting calories and accepting that it takes time. True weight loss takes time because it ultimately boils down to a sustained caloric deficit. It takes a deficit of about 3000 calories to get rid of one pound of fat. So if you are 500 under your reccommended daily calories it will take 6 days to lose one pound. It may not seem like a lot but it adds up (see example photo above lol)
Ive attempted to lose weight a few times and always started to get discouraged after losing a few and around 3 weeks i would just lose focus and eventually give up. This time I pushed past that and boom! Its been three months and it feels like it flew by.

The app called Noom really helped educate me. I had a decent grasp on nutrition and exercise but it put it all in one place along with a calorie counter and support in the form of a health coach and a community of others using the app. It does cost but there's a two week trial you can do to check it out and see if it's a good fit.

I have a question regarding how to count your cumulative weight loss. When it says cumulative does it mean cumulative to your starting weight loss or cumulative to your last weigh in amount? Can someone please help me to understand this better so that I do it correctly. Thank you!

Yup. Sherri is right. It’s all according to your starting weight. The goals don’t change based on your weight loss!
