  • I tend to go to extremes - want to lose weight? Restrict all the foods you love! Well, not this time. Last night for Cinco de Mayo we still had tacos. I just needed to be smart. Two small tacos with a little cheese and peppers and onions. It sure did hit the spot and I stayed within my calorie goal for the day!

This is great! Changing your lifestyle for the better does not mean we have to be miserable and miss out on little pleasures in life! We just have to learn to get great joy out of small tastes! Haha

  • My wife and I have taken a policy that if we want a "cheat" food we find a way to make it healthier, and we have to make ad much of it ourselves as possible. For example we wanted burgers yesterday, so we did turkey burgers loaded with veggies with homemade guacamole and pico and cotija. The whole meal with a tequila lime slaw and green smoothie was 600 calories!
