Questions for the group! For those with hair (extra points for ethnic hair) do y’all wash ur hair after every workout? I get really sweaty and feel like I HAVE to wash my hair but I don’t wanna over wash it.

Also, is sweating after a shower normal? I workout then shower immediately after and I’m still sweating lol

Haha I have to wait to shower because I swear MORE for like 10-20 minutes after a workout

I don’t have ethnic hair so no bonus points for me but I used to wash my hair after every workout (which was EVERY DAY). I went cold turkey on shampoo and kept showering after workouts and just “wash” my hair with water and a tiny bit of conditioner. It took some adjusting but now I shampoo less than once a week and have honestly never liked my hair more.

I have course/tight hair curl, and I also work in dermatology. It truly depends on how fine your hair texture is, as to how often you should wash it. On average it's not healthy to wash "ethnic" hair on a daily basis for various reasons, however, If you feel as though it's needed after each workout, you definitely should, just be sure to condition your hair and scalp afterwards. And as someone mentioned in an earlier response, dry shampoo is an option, just know that it can leave your hair looking powdered. I personally keep a short cut for that very reason, I sweat profusely from my scalp, and short hair allows me to be very flexible with washing. Hope this helps!
