Is personal trainer necessary or can self training yield the same results when trying to tone up. Any advice is highly appreciated.

I’ve never had a weekly trainer but at my old gym I would have a training session every 4-5 months. She designed a workout program for me that catered to my body and goals. We’d go through the program/exercises together. She had me doing things I’d never have done on my own. I loved it! It was a great investment.

I’ve done both and honestly the best results have been from home workouts! I did a personal trainer at my Equinox gym and went 1-2 times a week for three months. It was motivating at that time but I didn’t really learn anything I could do on my own. Once quarantine happened I started at home workouts and I’ve been more consistent with them and have seen way better results. It also saves me an enormous amount of money. I think it comes down to consistency. Which one will you do more frequently and what will you enjoy more
