How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Has anybody tried intermittent fasting? If so- what was your experience? My weight has plateaued and I’m considering trying it.

I also use Zero. I have experimented with many types of fasts and I agree with the comments above. Can be an amazing and powerful tool, but it is easy to screw up. Binging is definitely a risk, but the benefits are compelling. You can definitely lose weight by not eating, but most of the dramatic weight loss you see on the scale after a fast is due to a loss of water weight. Still, if you do any sort of extended fast you will spend some time burning fat. A shortened eating window can also help caloric restriction which is basically the cornerstone of every diet. The real benefits of fasting come after some consistency and discipline. Fasting is extremely tough in the beginning, and it gets much easier with practice. What is amazing, is that you discover you don't actually "need" food. That is hyperbole, I think you know what I mean. Fasting can help break food addictions, and change the paradigm if thinking we need at least three squares a day, or even crazier, we need to eat six small meals a day. So, I think fasting can be awesome -- especially for breaking a plateau, but i'd take it seriously and plan ahead. Using the Zero app helps.

IF is the program I use and I use zero app to keep track of my fasting/eating times. It’s very easy to follow and works! I’ve used it for five years to maintain my weight and it was the plan I used with success. Now I’m trying to get down to the weight I was in college. I’ve just chosen a stricter IF plan and it’s working for me. I would give it a try if you’re wanting a change. I use to have a lot of stomach problems, and a higher resting pulse. I no longer have stomach problems and my resting heart rate is now 148. My husband is diabetic he was able to get off shots and only takes pills now. I personally found it easy because I’ve always been a meal skipper.
