How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I am disappointed that I didn’t make the goal.

I am making some calculations about the last pot division. The final pot was 87710, and after DietBet cut (25%) the pot is 74553.5. Since there are 326 winner our final cut had to be 228.69. Is there someone that now why we are having only 201.17? There are 10k dollars of difference summing up.

I actually miscalculated DietBet cut, thank you Amanda!

The pot was $87,710. 25% of that is $21,927.50. Once you subtract their cut from the pot you are left with $65,782.50. Divided by the 326 winners that comes out to $201.79 which is what we got.

  • Congratulations to all the winners! This has been a great way to stay motivated to meet my goals!

I’ve noticed another round of people asking who won the Peloton, so I figured I’d share... it was me!

I recently completed my 100th ride and I am so grateful to have won it!

@John I think there was only the one Peloton for this game and then whatever progress prize drawings there are. It looks like there will be a Peloton in there upcoming progress prize drawing, which is cool!

So I met my goal. But my picture wasn't approved. So I did it again, and there's an error submitting because the game is over. So now what?

I don’t understand the payout calculations. If there were 1000 players and the pot was $172k, and I won all 6 rounds, how is the payout of $380 determined? I wasn’t expecting to retire on this or anything but I would like to understand the payout calculations before determining whether doing this again is even worth it.

This is the most I have won during a diet bet! I’m happy

Samantha C.

DietBet takes a 25% cut. So the pot is really $121K and there were varying numbers of winners in each round. But for each round if you take the total pot and subtract 25% and divide by the number of winners, you’ll get your payout.

I had a rough month and backtracked on progress, failing the challenge. But I still lost nearly 20lbs! I’ll be back for another challenge!

I did the same thing...I went away for Easter and stayed extra day, thought about staying a second. Would have missed the weigh in!

I’m depressed that I lost another 6 month transformer. Who can’t lose 10% in that length of time. 😟

While I did win, this was the hardest weight I’ve ever lost... between all the major eating holidays, my age, and the worldwide stress, it was a struggle to the very end. Don’t beat yourself up, give yourself a few weeks break, and then join a new game with renewed determination!

Janine J.

This is the first transformer i actually finished and won. The others i dropped out, usually around month 4. This time was slightly easier because i am trying to eat for long term, not just a diet. But with that said, it was hard to make each months hoals and didnt make all of them
