What you'll need

  • A digital camera or smartphone

  • Thinking of your health journey: what helps you keep going in the long-run? Have you found a good balance? I have always been an all or nothing person. So finding moderation is what has really helped me over the years. When it comes to sweets and treats, do you cut back or cut out when you are actively trying to lose weight? I allow myself a little, so I don't have to obsess about how much I wanted that cookie. But for others, it's better to not even take that first bite. Ultimately, a healthy lifestyle is easier to maintain if you find a balance you can live with, whether it's allowing a treat on occasion, or just avoiding the sweets completely. We're all different, it's finding what works for you that counts.
*Which side do you fall on? What helps you stick to a healthy way of eating in the long run?

It changes day by day. I can tell when it’s likely that if I take that first bite I’ll get out of control. Other days I feel like I could have one thing and stop. So I do a mix. I think the lynchpin for living a healthy life, in every aspect, is listening to your inner being. It always steers you right. But sometimes those cravings are so loud, it’s hard to hear that voice.

I am doing carnivore and I have found that if I have a small piece of something I tend to crave it more and more. When I am diligent on my way of eating then I tend not to have those cravings and it’s so much easier. So it’s more of a not at all. However, it was my birthday several weeks ago and I enjoyed cake with my family and no guilt for it. There are times when it’s appropriate- but not everyday, for me anyway.
