How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Whenever I start working with someone, one of my first questions is, “Who at home needs to be doing this with you?”

Too often do I have someone who says, “I want my kid to start training but I’m not going to.” “I’ll train but my spouse isn’t into this sort of thing.”

The thing is, this doesn’t have to be about weight loss. Everyone needs movement and healthy foods in their life to live optimally and with energy every day. Working out and eating right should be like brushing your teeth. It’s just something you do to take care of you.

Not everyone needs to do the same thing. When my family started making their transformation in my pre-teens, I started with sports, my dad and brother started with weight training and my mom started with dance. But everyone recognized movement as important and we all came together to make healthier food choices. What good would it have been for my brother and I to continue to eat pizza every other night (for real was how often we ate pizza before) and my parents to start eating healthier? Rick and I would have had those same bad habits to battle later still.

It’s not easy to get everyone involved, but it starts with one person being a leader and setting the example. That’s YOU. Have discussions with people you see every day about what your fitness journey means to you and invite them! It helps them be a better supporter of your goals and you might be surprised of the ripple effect you create!

Even when I ask for support, I feel like my hubby sabotages me all the time. The struggle is real in my house.
