This video encapsulates what I hate about the health and fitness industry. Traps and misinformation abound. If you're not a professional athlete or supermodel, chances are you probably shouldn't look like one. And frightening and confusing your body with strange and incomplete dietary choices for a short time is like loading a spring to shoot you back in the opposite direction once you're done.

In my opinion, our bodies simply reflect our lifestyles and what we really need to be doing is encouraging people to participate in lifestyles that are more active instead of making them spend the bulk of their time working so that they have no desire to exert much energy afterwards. When we finally consider that a healthier workforce, both physically and mentally, might actually be a more productive one, maybe things will improve. Anyway, I'll stop ranting........for now :-P
