How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Your winnings in this game may be based on the scale, but your mindset doesn’t have to be!

The best way to get that scale to move is to focus on healthy behaviors and not the scale. Instead of looking for a number, focus on setting your goals based on measurements, photos, good food choices, or activity.

Set goals like “eating 1 cup of veggies at dinner” “walk 20 minutes each day” or “keep a daily food/exercise log.” During times when the scale doesn’t want to budge these successes can help keep you going on this lifelong journey.

We've talked about this twice now, but I want to drive home the fact that you have the unique opportunity at this point to be able to track your "starting point" and measure your progress. You will have frustrating times over the next 6-months and small success will get you through.

What are some goals you’ve set for this game? Have you been tracking your success?

I log my food to stay in a calorie deficit and try to cycle every day.

I really want to feel healthy from the inside out. I need to do better than I have right now but the goal is really to drink water, eat food that is good for my body and move EVERYDAY!
