How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Does anyone else struggle with people guilting them into eating? When I have the willpower to stick to my goals I use it because I know it won’t always be there. It’s my birthday today so I want to enjoy some of the things I wouldn’t normally have right now- a small bit of birthday cake and I’m having pizza for dinner. I feel zero guilt about this because I’ve planned for it but now my dad is making me “a special birthday brunch” and I can see bread, butter and cheese going in there. I gently told him I won’t have any and he hasn’t said anything but I can tell that it’s upset him. I know it’s silly and I should do what is right for me but my dad shows love through food and it upsets me to reject that. Yikes as I write this I’m starting to realise where some of my emotional attachment to food comes from!! Is this something that any of you are going through?

Thank you everyone, this was really good advice and made me feel better about it all!

I have issues with my sister wanting to go out to eat all the time. It’s too hard to do calorie control with restaurant food. I hate telling her no all the time so I told her we’d go out after my round 1 weigh in is accepted but will still do portion control and healthy choices.
