Hello!
Anyone having HUGE troubles sleeping?
I have been struggling with insomnia for over 15 years and need sleeping aid just to get 5 or 6 hours' sleep.
Lately, things have gotten worse: even if I manage to get asleep, I wake up after a couple of hours, and then after another hour and so on. Cannot sleep during the day (and I neve get sleepy, anyway).. and as many others, I have to work from 8.00 a.m. to 6 p.m. and to be 100% awake and concentrated. I walk a minimum of 5 km every morning before work, I do yoga, pranayama and meditation, take herbal teas, melatonin, I've been trying everything. I even sleep with ear plugs because the neighbouring lady is tremendously loud - TV on all night long, I can hear it as if it was in my room.
How many of you have similar problems? How do you deal with them?

Have you asked her to keep it down or get headphones? If she refuses to change, contact the landlord/property manager/HOA with a recording. If nothing happens, tell the landlord you’ll file a legal complaint. If they do nothing, really file a noise complaint. Most communities have noise ordinances. Sleep is critical for mental and physical health, or in drastic, but real terms quality of life and longevity of life! Don’t feel bad to file if she refuses to change! You can also file with neighbors if she has anyone in the other side, above, or below.

Hi Nicole, I don't know about you, but here in Italy if you file a legal complaint, maybe you get some replies after several YEARS. And it costs you a lot in legal fees which I cannot afford. I tried speaking to her landord but no results. The condo has a noise ordinance of course, but nobody cares and nobody osbserves it. I just stick to ear plugs at night, and headphones during the day while I *try* to concentrate while working from home
