This was a very busy end of semester week. I kept it simple because I didn’t have too much time.

I walked on the treadmill an hour a day. I used my 64 oz water bottle to keep hydrated. I scheduled unplugged time and read and wrote Christmas cards. I tried a new Brittany recipe a day, I’m trying to rebuild my pantry slowly. I ate mostly vegan this week and love toasted broccoli more than I ever thought possible, I also love Brittany’s strawberry oatmeal. Just in the last couple of weeks my pantry looks really different. I’ve had fun reorganizing it, it feels good to open the pantry door and see the healthy choices I’ve made.

One benefit of covid is missing all the Christmas food. I tried to order Persian food one day to celebrate the end of a demanding semester, and that would have been a serious diet break, but a grub hub fail helped me stay on track . I took my kids to Chick-fil-A and I’m proud to say I thoroughly enjoyed a lite grilled chicken salad, and I was so proud of myself for that.

Without too much effort or creativity this week, I managed to shave another couple pounds off! It seems to be about making lots of little changes over time, and the little changes really add up!
