  • We know that exercise helps us burn more calories each day helping us lose weight. And combining exercise with a healthy diet is even a more effective way to lose weight than depending on calorie restriction alone.

But, exercise is also incredibly good for your mental health, and it can help you manage stress and unwind!

Do you feel like exercise helps clear your mind and reduce stress? I need this more than ever!

Absolutely!
Friday was a long day at work, after a long busy week of work. I ended the work day super crabby and unmotivated to do anything, but forced myself to take the dogs for a walk. I started out saying it would be short, but as I realized just how stressed I was, I told myself I had to walk until I wasn't feeling annoyed or crabby anymore, only then could I turn around and go home.
It took nearly 2 miles before I felt like myself again, but by that point I was feeling happy and joyful again. I was able to enjoy a beautiful sunset on my return home and had a lovely evening.

I was so glad I forced myself to walk so long, even though initially I hated the idea of even going outside in the first place.
Exercise is so transformational for the mind!
