For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

I was 207 when I won my last KS Dietbet 2 weeks ago. 1 week of "celebrating" (knowing I was way under this TF goal) led to me gaining 6 lbs as of Sunday. I was well under this TF Dietbet weight so I made it with 5 lbs to spare but I am debating starting another transformer because it will be over the holidays. Then again, that is why I want to join, to keep me in check over the holidays. Decisions...

  • A year and a half ago - a week before the quarantine/pandemic madness started - I had to stop breastfeeding my little man COLD TURKEY because of my worsening glaucoma (my eye drops couldn’t be taken while breastfeeding). That was BY FAR the most difficult thing I’ve ever had to do. I really needed to put myself and my health before anyone else’s, but it also led to a downward spiral of depression, which definitely worsened when the quarantine started. I dealt with the depression by baking A LOT with my kids, but in turn, you guessed it…I gained a TON of weight! That, in addition to stopping breastfeeding was my kickstart to all the weight gain! 😔 9 months later, my doctor tells me that I am borderline pre-diabetic and I am at the heaviest I’ve EVER been! 😱 That seriously scared the heck out of me as I started thinking about my future and my kids…and I knew that this was definitely the sign I needed to get my butt moving and lead a healthier lifestyle! The past 8 months have actually been the most difficult and of course, the most rewarding! I have been working SO HARD (as we all have!!❤) and today, I officially hit the 40lb weight loss mark since that day my doctor told me I was the heaviest I’ve ever been! Oh…and I’m no longer pre-diabetic! My AC1 level went down SO MUCH that I’m no where near being pre-diabetic! Today, I feel absolutely AMAZING! I honestly believe I was able to do it mostly because of the “excitement” of the DietBet! So thank you!!!!!!!! My goal is to lose another 40lbs before I turn 40 in 1 year! Cheers to a healthier lifestyle!❤❤❤

  • Like Tye posted, I too will be 60 in a few months and decided to get healthy last September. Since then I have lost over 130#, and over 150# since this 2019 picture. I lost a lot before I ever heard of diet bet, but this really helped me extend my weight loss below what I ever imagined possible. I used to think 350# was a good goal, and now I am on the cusp of the 250s. I have a lot of dining out happening in the next month so I will try to hold steady for a few weeks before a push to get to 250#.  This past weekend while cleaning out my parent's house I found an RPI sweatshirt that my sister bought for me when she was a freshman at RPI in 1985. I don't think I ever fit into it or wore it in the mid-'80s when I got the shirt. I now have a new nice-fitting new throwback RPI sweatshirt that may lead people to believe I have a kid going there. Also in this clean out, I found a mid 90s picture album that had pictures of me at over 500# and was a shock to see.
    I bought a Peloton last Sept when I started and recently completed a 52-week streak for activity, it was just what I needed to get fit. In April, I got an outdoor bike and this past Saturday I did the 75-mile Bike MS: City to Shore ride. Last September I would have never imagined I could do such a thing in my life, proving big change is possible. 
    Meeting this Transformer goal was nowhere near an issue, as a matter of fact when I recently had COVID (vaccinated breakthrough) and suddenly dropped 15# I was more worried about losing too much weight. I can not imagine how much worse my bout with COVID would have been if I were 100# heavier.

This morning I saw a number on the scale I didn’t think was possible six months ago, especially at my age (almost 60). I truly believe that health and fitness is an incremental game of little gains and periodic losses. When I don’t see immediate results it’s frustrating and I fell like giving up.

The DietBet has helped me with this. I REALLY don’t want to lose $175 so every time I feel like eating something I see $175 and typically win the battle.

But what about after the final weigh in? What is the motivation? For me, it’s six grandkids and my wife of 36 years. I want to be healthy for them.

What will be your motivation after September 29? I encourage you to start deciding today what that will be for you .

Once the game ends on Sep 28 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Sep 30 to submit your final weight for the round. This is the last time you will be able to record your weight in the game, so please submit a weigh-in even if you have not reached your 10% goal.

Once the weigh-in period begins, you will get a new weigh-in word when you visit the game. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and look for an email that confirms your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner for this round.
