How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Get ready for the final weigh-in for Round 3! Once the round ends on Aug 2 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Aug 4 to submit your final weight for the round. Remember that weighing in and winning each round guarantees your maximum payout at the end of the game. Even if you're not a winner, please submit your weight and photos.

Once the weigh-in period begins, you will get a new weigh-in word when you visit the game. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and look for an email that confirms your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner for this round.

The round will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins have been submitted. Good luck!

Me at 4pm yesterday: I QUIT FOR TODAY. I am taking the day off!! I don't feel good. I'm in a bad mood. I have ALL the PMS. It's humid and I don't WANT to work out.

Me at 10:30pm yesterday: Dang it!! FINE!! I'll get on the treadmill.

I have exercised over 30 minutes and burned over 1000 cals a day for 205 days. I just couldn't bring myself to break my streak. Eventually my streak will end. But it will be because of some outside force, not just me letting it slip away. And on that day, I'm gonna be pissed.

Wow ! 1000 kcal for 205 days. Thats an enormous effort. So don't take the day as a fault. It's only a break or a little and necessary regeneration.
Enjoy yourself. It's a good time to watch others doing sports. A good alternation to the used routine.
And when you're ready for it, you will really enjoy getting back on the treadmill :notes:

Yesterday, I watched the equestrians. And was so happy, the German equipe got the gold medal. US Team on the Silver position. For me, it's a great joy to see the harmony between man/woman and horse.

Loving the gymnastics, skateboarding, surfing, soccer, taekwondo, synchronized diving. I was sad to hear that Simone Biles had such a bad injury that she may be out the rest of the Olympics. She's the star of the US gymnastics team

I'm getting a little worried. I'm only at 70% of goal, and seem to have plateaued. I'm being good about my calorie intake and I recently added an extra day of exercise to my weekly routine.
I so want to win this round after being 0.4 lbs off last round

The good thing about these long bets is that there is another round after this, and the challenge gets easier so there is room to catch-up.

I know that doesn't help with *this* round, but just keep doing the good stuff you're doing and it's bound to reflect on the scale eventually.

I'm rooting for you this round. Hang in there!

Thank you so much Mollie. I really appreciate your encouragement. I know you're right, and I just need to focus on keeping my momentum and the long term goal.

Going to hit a hot yoga class this evening. That should take off a pound of water weight :droplet:

I'm sad and want to emotional eat some sugar or chocolate so badly. I've held out for several days. Just trying to tell myself it's because I am sad and eating junk will only make me feel better momentarily; and then probably even worse.

I wrote down in my journal today, "Remember, you want to be trim and healthy more than that snack " Your brain is looking for pleasure to feel better. Keep your focus on your happiness goal instead!

I caved last Friday too...stress from the week sent me to the store for Denali Chocolate Moostracks icecream, Krispy Kreme glazed donuts plus Vanilla Talenti... all gone now. For me, my best bet is to NOT bring it home. Sadness to stress to boredom (on recent road trips) makes me want snacks and sweet treats.
I totally agree with Nicole... my brain wants the sugar rush, my stomach doesn't need it nor the rest of my body.
Cheers to making the food choices today that lead to that happiness of feeling and looking better

  • Another day trip to Mt. Rainier for hiking. Took my offspring with me this time. 15K steps & ~1200ft of elevation gain.

What have you all noticed is the best way you have been losing weight in a healthy way? I feel like my progress has become stagnant and I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried switching things up, but I think my body is smarter than that. Haha.

I know I *feel better* when I am able to essentially eat low carb pescatarian, minus dairy. But that is hard to maintain.

I can't say the weight comes off very quickly, even then. But it does go down slowly and joint pain goes way down too.

Low carb + beans (agree no or minimal dairy) has been working for me. One trick via Tim Ferriss is to eat the same breakfast and lunch every day. Allowing eggs, the breakfast is easy and lunch I have the same salad. That's nice because over time you can tweak it if you're consistently hungry (put an avocado on the salad) or overly full. Everyone is different... That's worked for me.
