How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

  • Its easy to get caught up in the numbers on the scale, because its an easy number to measure and it is an indicator that your on track to meet your goal. The thing is my goal wasn't a number. My goal was to add years to my life and life to my years. My Renpho scale has a lot of metrics, but it doesn't measure that... I guess that is the long way of saying I have achieved my goal and I think my scale would agree... if it measured that....but it doesn't.

Ugh. I’m going to throw my scale out of the window. I have never been more consistent in my life. A cash prize is incredibly motivating. But I’m up almost 2 pounds today. NOT giving up though. Everything in my body is going to even out and I will have a nice big drop here soon, just like last time. I did show my body the graph and tried to explain how reasonable it would be to stick to the line, but apparently someone likes drama. Thanks for reading my saga. It’s really helping to share.

Question on weighing in and missing them.
I missed at least one weigh in, does that mean I can’t win the entire bet? I won’t miss weight in 5 because I know it’s the most important but how will it work if I missed 1 or 2 previous weight ins?

As long as you weigh the amount they said you must at the end of round 6, and weigh in on time, you will win that round (it is the biggest round). I think it is a rule that weigh in in round 5 is compulsory (and you must have lost at least 6% to be eligible for round 6). All the other rounds are no compulsory but it is a pity to miss them because you lose money if you don’t weigh in

Last week I made graph of my expected weight loss based on my calorie level and planned exercise. As I posted earlier my body did not cooperate with the graph at all. Until today. I weighed exactly what my graph said I should weigh today. So glad I didn’t give up last week. Hang in there guys. I can’t wait to buy some really pretty clothes and some hot jeans with my winnings.

Who is getting nervous for Halloween? I have 3 kids and usually a TON of candy that hangs around months and months after that no one seems to eat but me…. I think I’m in a good mental space to avoid the temptation but curious how others are feeling and what strategies people are using if this is a weakness for you (I’ll be honest chocolate is my weakness).

The fun of Halloween for the kids is dressing up and trick-or-treating. Candy is probably 5th on the list of fun things so is some or most of it gets thrown away next week, you haven’t taken anything away from them. Have fun with your kiddos Halloween night. It’s a great night! Mine are all grown. I miss it. :heart:

Finally!! The scale moved. It’s going to be a workout weekend! Gym, runs, yoga, housework, yard work. Next weigh in is going to be a nail biter but I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. Hope this is encouraging someone else that might be cutting it close.

I am a little irritated. I barely made the September 1 weigh in, then went completely off the rails throughout September and totally missed the October 1 weigh in. Got myself back together, as we do in life, and set my sights on the November 1 weigh in. Went back to eating and drinking reasonable amounts - no weight loss. Joined OrangeTheory last week and love it - no weight loss. I’m going to have to start logging food. Ugh. I hate logging food. But it’s the only way. Isn’t it ridiculous that we lie to our own selves about the calories we take in? No matter what, I’ve lost enough to qualify for the last weigh in. There’s still time to win. Happy Friday! I too despise logging calories and I too even lie to myself as I do that. I usually have to set my limit lower because I know near the end of the day I’ll cheat a little. That works pretty well for me. I don’t go off the rails cheating but I’ll sneak in a glass of wine or piece of chocolate that I “miss” putting on my log. I’ve also tried intermittent fasting a bit lately and that’s really helpful! I pick the days where I’m in back to back meetings at work or running errands all day so I don’t even have time to think about how hungry I am. And I drink lots of black coffee and water to stay “full”.

Get ready for the final weigh-in for Round 5! Once the round ends on Oct 31 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Nov 2 to submit your final weight for the round. Remember that weighing in and winning each round guarantees your maximum payout at the end of the game.

Even if you're not a winner, you MUST submit your weight and photos proving you lost at least 6% in order to be eligible for Round 6 and the Grand Prize.

If you fail to submit a verified weigh-in showing the 6% weight loss, you will be disqualified. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and look for an email that confirms your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.)

The round will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins have been submitted. Good luck!

Congratulations on making it to the end of Round 5! Remember that in order to prevent unsafe sprints at the end, you must have lost at least 6% by the end of Round 5. If you have not lost at least 6%, you will not be eligible to win the Grand Prize. Good luck to everyone!
