How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Hi Everyone! I haven't been checking in enough. I was stuck going up a pound down a pound all month so I haven't made much progress so far.

I finally had to face the fact that I needed to pay more attention to the calories in part of the equation. I'm keeping that consistent plus focusing on whole food and the scale is finally moving in the right direction again.

I'm wondering if anyone else is finding that no matter how much exercise you do you don't lose weight unless the nutrition is right? I was trying to create a calorie deficit by exercising more but I am not sure that will work for me anymore.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I love that — flipping the idea that we deserve food to deserve health. So good. Thanks!

Losing weight is 80% nutrition and 20% working out. You’re right that it is all about creating a deficit with calories in vs. calories out. But those calories you take in also have to be good ones. Plus like Ali said you also have to watch that you aren’t eating in too much of a deficit for the exercise you are doing otherwise your body thinks you are starving and will hold on to those calories and you will gain weight instead of lose. It’s all just a big game that you have to get good at playing.
