How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I'm really struggling mentally today. I've been having a really hard time losing weight lately which has affected my motivation. But last week was good- so good! I kept up with my workouts, my nutrition was 👌👌. Still lost ZERO pounds. But that's ok (I keep telling myself)- I just gotta stick with it. Then yesterday... I feel like crap, I'm super bloated. Mentally, I feel like the last two weeks were pointless. It's a struggle to do anything but scroll on my phone today. So here I am, half dressed in workout clothes in my closet. I know I should get outside to some fresh air, get my heart pumping and get some sunlight (it's 80 and sunny where I live) but am finding it difficult to put on my shoes. I hate this feeling. My heart says I've failed and to give up, my brain says "this will pass. Just put on the shoes and go outside. One step at a time." I'm sharing this in hopes that there maybe someone who feels the same as I do today and for them to know (for me too) that we are not alone. I typically only post my successes- but I thought today I should be real.

There are days that get that way for me too. But today I was so happy to serve another by taking interest in his 2 year recovery from injury. May I humbly suggest finding something or someone to serve?

Do you ever bring a garbage bag with you on your walk? Turn it into a challenge to see how much trash you can collect.

Then it is more about doing good than the movement.

Thanks for sharing and being real. I came on here today feeling like this as well, I know some areas I can still do better but overall have been proud of myself, but in weight-loss plateau. I find overall a good plateau for a while is really good for me for my body to get used to my new normal weight. But for the sake of the contest - which we sign up for to help motivate us - the pressure is on to keep losing! Hang in there with your good habits and I love what Emimily said about stress - that might be the next thing to change!

I can feel myself losing momentum lately so I'm throwing myself back in the ring, full force! I won't let holidays keep me from reaching my goals! I just need to make better decisions and focus on what I TRULY want.

I hit my round 2 goal a week late but at least I got there. Feeling like a winner even though I didn’t win this round.🏆 Now just have to find the motivation to find myself in the winners’ pool this round. Good luck, everyone!

Here we go, month 3. I am going to focus on the things I can control, and not worry do much about the things I can’t control or the numbers on the scale as ultimately it is behavior modification and not “dieting” that will get me where I want to be!
Yes I will:
- drink a beer … but not multiple beers in one sitting w/o exercise
- eat a juicy burger, pizza or wings during this month.. but it will be special
- exercise more to relieve holiday stress…

Remember the saying don’t sweat the small stuff, All things are small!! I am going to use that this month as it is the small steps forward that keep us going.

A beer is not bad.. it’s the five left in the refrigerator that are bad. Hide them :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Haha! Good point!

I was off by a pound for this round, but i know all of the reasons why. I’m back at work after maternity leave and struggle with all of the time changes (I’m a flight attendant) and drinking water. Seeing the number over what i needed was definitely the kick in the butt i need!!!

One pound is really nothing… a bit disappointing for the monthly challenge, but it sounds like you’re on track for the big prize. Best wishes

Got a little off track this week with spraining my ankle and not being able to do anything. However I told myself that just because I sprained my ankle, that shouldn’t be an excuse to get off the rails and eat everything. Jumping back into the diet today and accepting that I messed up and it’s ok.

I can’t believe that with Halloween and our crazy family schedule I actually made it this round. This one was way harder! I’m going to keep pushing thru the holidays and 🙏 I can keep hitting these goals!
