How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

Today is the last day to submit your final weigh in for this challenge. You have until 11:59 pm PST to submit your final weight.

Also, I just emailed the random winner from the 28 day challenge. And just noticed I put the wrong date to comment on the weekend challenge check in post. The deadline should have been 9:30 am EST on October 19, not October 20. I updated the date to be 2:00 pm EST later this afternoon so I can draw the last winner, verify him/her and send out the gift cards to all challenge winners.

As the last day of this DietBet draws near, we need to be on point this weekend. And what "on point" means for you or me may be different. Here are some tips I've always found helpful.

1. Drink your water!

2. Limit the amount of sodium in the foods you eat. Excess sodium could lead to water retention. And that could give the scale may tack on an extra pound or two as a result.

3. Eat whole foods and limit the amount of processed foods you consume.

4. Avoid trying out a new exercise program. This could lead to muscle soreness. And our bodies will hang on to extra water as a way to recover those muscles.

5. Don't starve yourself. This obviously is not only unhealthy, but it could have the opposite effect you anticipate.

6. Move. Try to get in some extra steps throughout the day to keep the body moving. And why not participate in our step challenge while you're at it? The target for the weekend is 20,000 steps combined over the two days.

Good advice. Trying watch the portion sizes and not drink soda or alcohol. (Wish me luck, it's been a stressful week).

I need to limit eating to meal times and don't eat after 7. It's hard to when the last days are weekend days! Still got a little more to go, so gotta stay disciplined.

Greetings friends!

Update: I was not able to reach out to the winner from the weekend challenge until last night. So it will take a little longer to post the winner. My day yesterday totally got away from me. My apologies.

We are really coming down to the wire in this one, aren't we? Time flies. And today is another step challenge to boot. The target today is your normal daily step goal or past seven day average plus an extra 1,000 steps. What better way to celebrate making it to the middle of the week than by getting outdoors when you can and take some time for yourself?

Doing fantastic. Got my walk done a little while ago.

It was a beautiful morning for a walk! I've found that if my. 4 year old rides her bike then I can actually get in a decent walk. It's been fun to go together. Still got a few lbs to go, but I'm hopeful that I will make it!
